Drums and bass are recorded! It was a very long day last friday but we were able to get it all finished. Kyle Hicks did an amazing job nailing the groove I was looking for on each song and brought a ton of great, new ideas to the table. Riley Vasquez tracked bass on the first few tunes and also did an incredible job. Stewart Doka finished up the day laying down bass on the rest. All of these guys are really great musicians and even better friends. I don’t know many people, who are as good as these guys are, who would come and record all day…..for free.
I didn’t choose these guys because they fit my budget ($0). I picked them because they are the best musicians I know and are great to work with in the studio. If I had a huge budget I would still pick these guys. So thanks guys for all of your hard work, willingness to help out, and being awesome friends. You rock!
Next up is acoustics and vocals later this week
